Health and Safety

The management of Integrated Market Solutions Inc. (IMS) is vitally interested in the health and safety of its employees, subcontractors, other workers and visitors.  It is our policy to provide a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, and to abide by all safety regulations as they pertain to all on-site and off-site work locations.  Protection of employees/workers from injury or occupational disease continues to be one of our primary objectives and Integrated Market Solutions Inc. will make every effort to provide a safe and healthy work environment to meet and/or exceed all legislative requirements.

Although Integrated Market Solutions Inc., as the employer, is ultimately responsible for worker health and safety, all supervisors and workers must be dedicated to the effort of reducing risk of injury in order to achieve this objective.  As President of Integrated Market Solutions Inc., I give you my personal assurance that every reasonable precaution will be undertaken to ensure adequate protection for all workers.  Supervisors should, and will, be held accountable for the health and safety of workers under their supervision.  As such, supervisors are responsible to ensure that machinery and equipment are in safe operating order and that workers work in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures.  Integrated Market Solutions Inc. provides all employees with workplace safety training in their specific work tasks in order to protect their health and safety to eliminate or minimize hazards.  Every employee/worker and/or sub-contractor must protect his or her own health and safety by working in compliance with the law and with safe work practices and procedures established by the company.  It is in our collective best interests to consider health and safety in every activity and to report all unsafe or unhealthy conditions.  Employees who violate safety standards; who cause hazardous or dangerous situations; or who fail to report, where appropriate, unsafe conditions; may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

A Joint Health and Safety Committee has been established to assist in these activities and to facilitate effective communications between employees and management about workplace safety and health issues.  Commitment to health and safety must form an integral part of this organization, throughout all employee/worker ranks, from the President’s office to the frontline.

In the case of accidents that result in injury, regardless of how insignificant the injury may appear, employees should immediately notify their appropriate Supervisor, Manager, Health & Safety Representative or President.  Such reports are critical to comply with the law and initiate insurance and Workplace Safety compensation benefits procedures.

In order to achieve a safe and efficient operation, safety must be a required part of everyone’s daily work environment together with proper leadership from all managers, supervisors, and health & safety representatives and committee members.
